M/V SIGMACHI [Summer Cruising Season Is Here!] Revolutionary War Shipwreck Discovered —

Good evening from Alan.   I'm aboard my Sigmachi now at it's new Chesapeake Bay summer home...Olverson's Lodge Creek Marina  off of the Yeocomico River on  Virginia's Northern Neck adjacent to the southern side of the Potomac River. Yesterday, Wednesday, Jeanne and I left Deltaville Boatyard/Deltaville Marina on Jackson Creek where SIGMACHI had been undergoing some major refitting of her HVAC system and some other ancillary parts for a year. The 671-N twin Detroit Diesels ran most of the 56 miles flawlessly @ 1900 rpm averaging 11 mph for the 40 ft legacy Pacemaker flush deck flying bridge yacht.   This was our maiden voyage; just 3 months after my major back surgery. Local knowledge expert and Olverson's Marina manager, Steven Trice, was prudently at the helm.  The big event for the day was the nearly calm Chesapeake Bay with a light breeze out of the NE which combined with the perfectly running  Detroit Diesels made for an inaugural success of a transfer of operat...
