SIGMACHI, is "on the hard" (and safe) at Krentz Marine Railway in Callao, Virginia to have her bottom painted with tropical formula, the anchor windlass repaired, as measured up for installation of a generator. Jeanne and Alan hope to take her South in late October. First stop will be Alan's former town, Norfolk, then head via the Dismal Swamp Canal to Elizabeth City, NC to "start" the Albermarle Sound Loop and then make a southward turn to Florida. Perhaps the Florida jaunt will take them to Jacksonville and "up" the St. John's River, then south to maybe Jupiter.  Then maybe take the canal through Lake Okeechobee and to Ft. Meyers. After that they may head south on the west coast of Florida, to Florida Bay then down to the Keys. They hope to attend a big party for AGLCA "Loopers" that friends throw every February at Banana Bay Resort in Marathon. Eventually they will come northward on the east coast of Florida back to ...

Tomorrow, (Frida...
